Minus 10 percent: The AD Credit Expands Negative Interest Credit Again

The loan portal The AD Credit introduced in 2017 as the first provider in Germany a negative interest rate on installment loans. Since then, The AD Credit offers its negative interest loan with interest rates between minus 0.4 and minus 5 percent. The portal is now significantly expanding its range of offerings. Since today, an effective annual interest rate of minus 10 percent has been available in Germany for the first time.

Negative interest loans worth more than 20 million euros disbursed

If you meet the requirements, you will receive the negative interest loan on the advertised terms. Since its launch in 2017, borrowers have taken up loans totaling over € 20 million at a negative interest rate. “The negative interest loan has now been awarded for almost two years and has been paid out in the millions. It’s a real and very cheap alternative to the expensive credit line, “says Alexander Artopé, managing director of The AD Credit.

The negative interest loan is available to all employees, civil servants and workers with sufficient creditworthiness. As part of the credit application check, a loan condition request is made to the Schufa. This does not affect the Schufa score of the prospective creditors – even if the credit is declined. In this case, The AD Credit is looking for alternative loan offers. “We assume that you only make a loan application if you actually need the amount of money requested. That is why we are also looking for alternative loan offers. These are very often cheaper than the house bank, “says Alexander Artopé. In 2018 borrowers at The AD Credit paid on average about two percentage points less interest than the national average.

In 2015, the credit portal The AD Credit was the first online provider to launch a zero-percent loan in Germany. Shortly thereafter, other providers offered such a loan. The same can be observed with the negative interest loan. This brought The AD Credit 2017 the first supplier in Germany on the market. Other providers followed suit.

From year to year The AD Credit is establishing itself more as one of the central online centers for installment loans in Germany. That explains why The AD Credit’s lending volume is growing fast. In 2017, The AD Credit brokered loans worth 1.2 billion euros. In 2018, loans totaling over 2 billion euros were brokered. Thus, The AD Credit grows much stronger than the market.
